Returns, Refunds & Event Bookings Policy

Clear guidance, accountability, and confidence in how we work

If you need the returns, refunds & event bookings policy in a different format, or if you have questions, just get in touch

We hope you love your order, but if something isn’t right, here’s how returns work. This policy applies to all purchases made through our shop and reflects UK consumer law.

Returning Your Order

You have the right to return most items within 14 days of delivery. The period starts on the day after your order is delivered.

You must let us know within those 14 days if you wish to return your order. You then have a further 14 days to send the goods back – giving you up to 28 days in total.

We’ll refund the cost of the item(s) and the standard delivery charge you originally paid, provided items are returned unused, in original condition, with packaging and labels intact.

Unless the item is faulty, misdescribed, or not fit for purpose, you will be responsible for the cost of return postage.

Exceptions and Special Cases

Print-on-demand products (most of our range): These items are produced especially for you and fall under the UK Consumer Contracts Regulations exemption for personalised goods. This means they cannot be returned or exchanged for change of mind or sizing. Please check item descriptions and size guides carefully before ordering. If your order arrives damaged, defective, or mislabelled, please notify us within 7 days of delivery with photos and your order number so we can arrange a replacement or refund.

Stocked products (limited items we ship directly): For these items, the standard 14+14 return rights described above apply.

Hygiene items: For health reasons, we can’t accept returns of certain sealed products once opened (e.g. underwear and other items worn close to the body).

Circular products: Some garments include a QR code on the care label. At the end of their life, you can scan the code to return the item so it can be remade into new products as part of our circular economy.

Your statutory rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015 also apply if goods are faulty, misdescribed, or not fit for purpose.

Refunds

Refunds are issued to your original payment method within 14 days of us receiving your return.

If your item is faulty, damaged, or misdescribed, we’ll also cover the cost of return postage.

Only the standard delivery charge is refunded, not any upgraded delivery services.

How to Return

To request a return, email shop@neurodivergenceproject.org with:

Your order number
The item(s) you wish to return
The reason for return (include photos if faulty or damaged)

We’ll reply with clear instructions on the next steps.

For general enquiries, contact info@neurodivergenceproject.org.

Event Bookings & Challenges

Bookings for fundraising challenges, events, and activities are treated differently from shop purchases. Under the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013, contracts for leisure services with a fixed date (such as event tickets) are exempt from the usual 14-day cancellation rights.

Once you confirm your booking, it is generally non-refundable unless the event is cancelled or significantly changed.

If you are unable to attend, please contact us as soon as possible at info@neurodivergenceproject.org. We’ll advise if any options are available, such as transferring your place (subject to the event partner’s terms).

Full details of what’s included, costs, and terms will be provided at the point of enquiry and booking.
