This April, we are inviting people and communities across the UK to take part in Move in April for Neurodivergence – a fundraising challenge in support of The Neurodivergence Project.
From 1-30 April 2026, the challenge is simple: complete 2.5 km a day in any way that works for you. That could be walking, running, swimming or cycling. You can take part on your own, with friends, or as part of a team.
The challenge has been designed to be flexible and accessible, because we know people move and engage in different ways.
Our mission is to support, empower and connect neurodivergent people through inclusive, community-led opportunities that build confidence, wellbeing and belonging. We do this through community-led outdoor activities – particularly sailing – alongside signposting to wider support, resources and networks.
By taking part in this challenge, you will be helping us move towards our £5,000 target to help fund our first sailing trip. The funds raised will support an inclusive first trip that creates connection, confidence and a sense of belonging for neurodivergent participants, while also helping us signpost people to wider wellbeing support and community networks.
Can you help – even if you can’t take part?
Yes – absolutely.
If you are not able to join the challenge yourself, you can still make a big difference by helping us spread the word. Please consider sharing this with:
- Friends and family
- Local organisations
- Schools and colleges
- Community groups
- Sailing clubs and sports groups
- Workplaces and networks across the UK
Every share helps us reach more people and grow support in communities across the country.
Fundraising thank-you
Anyone who raises £300 or more will receive a free t-shirt as a thank-you for supporting the campaign.
